  • Yes, the Festival is R18.

  • No, if you are under 18 you will not be allowed to enter the Festival.

  • There are only three types of ID accepted in New Zealand by law, all of which must be current and valid on the day of Lakes Festival. These are:

    • NZ Photo Drivers’ Licence

    • NZ or International Passport

    • Kiwi Access Card (previously known as the ‘18+ Card’)

  • Lakes Festival is held at the Hagley Event Triangle, Christchurch Central City.

  • Lakes Festival is an all-weather event. Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen and bring a warm jumper just in case.

  • There is no official parking in Hagley Park for the festival, however, there are parks often parks along Armagh street.

  • If for any reason you need to leave Lakes Festival early, you are more than welcome to do so. However, we have a strict no pass-out policy - if you choose to leave, you will not be able to re-enter.
